I must admit, I am a gadget freak. I love technology, but unfortunately, can’t afford the latest and greatest gadgets. I wait until they go on sale. I bought a Nokia 770 internet tablet from Amazon at a good price, and it has been a good companion for all that it does. However, it is slow when using the internet, and often locks up. It does succeed in displaying videos that have been converted in DIVX format, though. But for the price I paid, I would have been better off buying something made by Apple. I have tried selling it on craigslist to no avail. Oh well, lesson learned. But it still does well, and with all the free software I can get from maemo.org, I’ve decided I’m just better off keeping it.
So I finally broke down, and bought an Ipod Touch. I was convinced that all the excitement about Ipod’s was just that. I was wrong. I bought my first Ipod less than a week ago, an Ipod Touch, 8 gb, and was amazed at all that it can do. And also amazed at all the free apps that I could download, many fun but with no value, but many with alot of entertainment value. Unfortunately, I paid too much, over $200 for it, to find out today that it goes for $199 on apples website, since they are releasing new versions of the Ipod. So luckily I kept the box, the receipt, and all the accessories, so I will be returning it to the store, and will purchase the 16 gb model, refurbished, from apple, for less than what I paid. And with a one year warranty.
I’m glad I finally discovered the Ipod, and the deal that apple has. Very user friendly, and a very good price. As soon as I return my Touch to the store I bought it from, and get credited, I’m ordering the refurbished 16 gb model. I am truly impressed.
